Even as the date for the official announcement on October 15 comes closer, Best Buy Canada has already listed the Google Pixel 4 and the Google Pixel 4 XL for pre-ordering. Consequently, the product page for these phones has given out major details.
The website full detailed the lineup of Pixel 4 including key devices specifications and highlighting essential differences through comparisons with the Pixel 3a and the 3a XL. The product page went live in the previous week, but has now been removed from the website.
The listing has mentioned 4 key points under a section: “What makes Pixel perfect.” The section emphasized primarily on software and photography capabilities. The phone has been promoted by claiming studio quality photography capabilities with original quality storage on Google Photos.
In addition, the listing also mentioned the Quick Gestures feature, highlighted as ‘a new way to control your phone.’ For the Pixel 4, Google has integrated the Soli Radar chip on both the phones, which aids in tracking the hand gestures of the user, and executing the task associated to those gestures.
Another point spoke about improvements to the Google Assistant. The functionality of the next-gen assistant has been referred to as “Send texts, get directions, and even plan your day, all from the palm of your hand.”
Key Tech Specs Also Given Out
The product pages of the two phones also provided complete specs. The listing the Google Pixel 4 will be equipped with a dual rear camera (12+16 MP) setup. On the other hand, its front camera will be capable of 8MP.
Further, while the Pixel 4 will come with a 5.7 inch Full HD+OLED display., the XL variant will be given a 6.3 inch Quad HD+OLED display. Both phones will have a refresh rate of 90Hz, which will be called ‘Smooth Display’.
Both phones are to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset by Qualcomm, in addition 2800 mAh battery and a 6GB RAM. Storage options will be available in 64 and 128 GB options. The phones will also include a facial recognition unlock, instead of a fingerprint unlock system.
